Make Up For Ever: HD primer

Recently I went to a make up fair in Brussels, BE. I was fairly disappointed about the fair. The fair, in my opinion, was more focused on nail specialists. Yes I like nails but I went there for the make up.

Yet what I did found was a display by one of my favourite high end brands. Make Up For Ever.
Even better I got a student discount. I couldn't pass!
I got myself a primer. I decided to get an add of my HD collection.
Did I found a good one in this primer? Lets find out.

I had a little chat with the 'head' lady at the counter of MUFE about their products. She was very honest about the facts that the brand doesn't want to have a main focus on the packaging yet provide with a great spot on quality product! I can aim that.
Packaging is how we know Make Up For Ever products. Simple and sleek. Yet I like their simplicity.
The lady at the counter first tried to convince me to get a 50 euro elixir/ primer really caring for the skin. But even with the discount it was to much for me.

I went for this one.
Their are 7 different typical colours for primer. Eg: Green, for redness, mauve to counteract sallow tones, pink to brighten a complexion, ... I got a neutral tone.
The primer comes in a pump, yes! Easy to get the right amount. I have enough with half a pump.

When applying the product you instantly feel good. The product feels cold and super lightweight. Also it feels super moisturizing.
About the priming I like this to! I don't particularly feel that this product helps to make my foundation last forever but I do believe it makes it look very good. Even though you created a barrier it feels and looks like you've got nothing applied.
Yet after a couple of days of wearing this (I used foundations where I don't react to in talking skin problem) my skin somehow got very irritated. I stopped, let my skin breathe, tried it again and got the same issue. This is of course such a bummer for me.
I really like this primer but I prefer to have a good skin and no primer than bad skin a good primer.

Overall thought: I love this primer itself very much. Even though you have something on, it doesn't feel that way. Very lightweight and really moisturizing. I don't feel it does anything to make my make up more longlasting but its lovely to apply foundation after this product. Unfortunately this product makes me break out. Why? No clue.

Tell me, did you ever liked a product a lot that makes you break out?
