That's Sleek!

Eyeshadow has never been something I took a lot interest in. Mainly because I always did the same.
Either just a super natural base or just some brown to accentuate my crease.

Ever since summer holidays I liked doing my eyeshadow. On daily base I intend to still go for the natural look but lately there's more colour to be found then just one.
And that's all because of my recent received palettes.

Mega Plush

 

Mascara, again a review. I think I like them best as well.
Today it's on a Maybelline one.

And I think I now have every single one of the Volume Express ones in my drawer.
Which I'm really happy about.

I switch my mascara's every week just so I can fall in love again with others I have.
And otherwise I wouldn't use all the ones I have.

Christmas and NY wishlist

I'm always talking beauty.
But lately I want to change more to other things.
Not beauty related and I would like to do more tags.

I love fashion, but I don't want to write about that somehow.
I love travelling, but I don't travel enough.
I adore music but concerts I haven't went to in a while.

Since it's Christmas and new years soon I thought I would make a wishlist.
I've seen a lot of blogposts like this and always like reading them.

Findation

Samples, able to test stuff?
In my local drugstores a lot of times there aren't samples, or they are so dirty you don't wanna touch them.
When it comes to foundation you should be able to test.
My teacher always says if there aren't any foundation samples: 'Ask for it. Even in drugstores they should give you one if you ask for it.'
But I feel so weird doing that somehow.

So here are some tips in getting the right foundation and maybe a life saver.

Glamourised Doll

Mascara, as you already know it's my weakness.
My mascara drawer is now full but there are still coming more into the drawer.
And I like it.

Today I have a cheaper drugstore mascara.

Rose Gold

Our local drugstores don't have the biggest range of different make up brands, unfortunately.
And since some brands are expensive compared to England or the USA, I mainly go for the cheaper brands.

I as well have a huge problem that brands aren't available here.
eg. MUA, Sleek, Collection, 2true etc.

I have bought myself Collection and 2true on my trip to London. But completely haven't noticed Sleek.
SHAME!
But that unbelievable thing came to a change.

Foundation fever

I gave away a foundation to my sister. OMG! That's a first.
I couldn't wear it because it has a pink undertone to it.
I wrote about it before, Catrice photo finish foundation. I only wore it to test. But realised it wouldn't work.

So when one foundation was gone, I wanted a new one.
Shopping is the answer to that.

Nail Care & Topcoats

A few weeks ago I polished my nail Nightmare Before Christmas/Jack Skellington themed. And I absolutely loved it. I even got complements about it. So I decided to write a post about nails mainly because I realised that I do have quite a few products for my nails and searched for some reviews myself.

So this post will be on as the tittle says, the care and topcoats for nails.
It's on an entirely different subject then as I normally write about but I still hope you like it.

Metal Glam blush!

As I said in my metal glam highlight blogpost I'd be as well talking about the other Metal Glam product I've been able to find unused.

I always was looking for pinky blushes, never peachy. Because I felt it wouldn't fit me.
As you as well read in my blush blogpost a few days ago. That idea completely changed.
I love peachy blushes.
So last few days I tested the Metal Glam blush.

Silky blush

 

Blush, my recent big thing to search for. I made my list.
I always used to say that for me blush should be pink. I still like my pink blushes but peachy blushes are way more natural on my face and since my make up education I actually only have been using peachy blushes.

Blushes are tricky. It has to be just perfect for me to buy it.
If somehow the colour is not convincing enough to purchase it, I won't.

So the drugstore was the place I went to, to find THAT blush.

Metal Glam Highlight!

I'm really sorry for not posting twice this week. I've had some crappy moments this week so I wasn't thinking of posting.
But now I'm back ^^ hurray

Ever since I got more into following up some limited edition I saw that some really intriguing products are available if you notice the LEs soon enough.
I've totally loved the Essence Be Loud TE but I was to late in finding products that weren't used yet.

So I was pretty lucky when finding Essence's new TE Metal Glam with a few unused products.
The Metal Glam blush and the highlighter.
And that last one my review is going to be about now.

Concealed

As I went shopping again this weekend I'm a bit behind in reviewing my purchased products.
But I'll do a two in one review because I'm talking concealer today!

I used to love my Essence Stay Natural concealer. But I don't anymore. I feel it's to greasy and oily. Why I didn't feel this way at the beginning. No idea, people change their minds :)

I bought myself 2 concealers. Budget proof: Essence and Catrice.
So let me talk you through my experience.

Sorbet on the eyes

For my make up education we have the assignment to find some make up looks we want to recreate in style of fantasy.
And as I love legends and mythical creatures that's not hard for me to find.
I adore vampires, zombies and fairies and I could easily find some looks that I want to recreate.

For myself I as well wanted to purchase some products that I could have myself to recreate some looks at home.
I came home with some turquoise, purple, green, pink and dark red make up.
Most of those colours you can use either for vampires or zombies or fairies. It's not that hard at all.

I particularly want to talk about one of those purchases.

Stay Matte

I have been noticing that lately there are a lot of brands that are introducing a few products for oily skin. Matt powders, foundations, etc.

As I am a combo of extremely dry and extremely oily, it's really hard to find that perfect foundation to fit my weird combo skin type.

I'm testing all kinds of different stuff and maybe one day I'll find that one product that I'll stick with for a long time.

Retro Rimmel Glam

As promised I will be talking about my 5 purchases I made a few days ago.
I was looking for concealers and I came home with mascara, some eyeshadow, foundation and of course concealers.
Some people have an unending quest to finding the perfect foundation. I have an unending quest to finding better mascara's all the time! (And foundation and eyeliner and lipstick and eyeshadow and concealer... Well you know the drill. This is what's called an addiction :p)

Firstly I'll be talking about the mascara. It's from Rimmel.

So let's get started.

Waterproof it!

Because Belgium is more on the rainy side of the world I am mostly looking for make up products that are waterproof.
A lot of times I can't find a waterproof version. I can live with the fact that my eye shadow isn't waterproof but my eyeliner and mascara should be.
Eyeliner is the easiest to find waterproof.
Mascara though, is much harder!

Highlight that!

Shopping. Always nice to kill time. I love it when I come home with new stuff!
Of course it costs. Therefore I'm looking for a job.
Up to now, this has not worked out well. (I'm born in the wrong country. People judge on every single thing they can see about you.)
(When I would live in the USA or the UK, I'd not have to deal with the judging as here. In stupid, crappy, judging Belgium.)

Still looking and for now, my wallet feels a lot lighter as I'm not able to really earn a living.
But I'll manage.

For today I'm sharing another thing that I purchased with my lovely money.

Let's do Babylips

As I try to figure out why Belgium is always late in bringing LEs or TEs or just do not have them, the search never stopped because I didn't know why they weren't there.
Now, the revealing answer: Your local drugstore does not want to sell them.
THOSE BASTERDS!

Belgian beauty supplies are officially crap!

But I now do have a review for you guys, it's a newer product in Belgium.

Beauty Balms

BB cream or Beauty Balms, you all know them. Recent big thing, CC cream or Colour Correcting cream.
There are a lot of lovers and a lot of haters. I personally like them, those BB creams.
Up to now I have not been able to try CC cream. So now it will be on BB cream.

Maybelline has two and I wanted to try them both. And here I am.

Highlighter? Bronzer? All in one!

As a make up addict I want to turn make up into my profession!
Therefore I am taking a make up education. And I really like it Big Time!!! :)
I will talk about this in another blogpost but I haven't seen so much yet, so that has still to come!

Illegal Length

My mascara madness continues and I do have another review for you guys.
I talk about a good mascara if I do not need to curl my lashes. Meaning: voluminous, long lashes with mascara and without lash curler.
Well of course this search is really hard. And I think a lot of people might have a bit of trouble finding that perfect mascara.

The mascara I am gonna talk about is on the market for a really long time but the €15 price held me back! As I love discount it won't surprise you that again this mascara is purchased with discount :p

Healthy Hair

I have really dry and damaged hair. Even if I don't blow dry or straighten my hair but do use tons of hair masks and conditioner, it still does not get fixed.

I do notice a difference when using some serum. So I have been doing that for a long while now.

Recently I have been loving The Garnier Body Ultimate beauty oil. The product includes Argan oil. Which I personally love. I did some research and found out that Garnier also has another product.
The Garnier Ultra Doux Sublime Oil (Garnier Fructis Miraculous Oil, depends on where you live).
And I love it! So let's give this product a bit more attention.

Lipstick love!

Last week my local drugstore did discounts on a lot of products. 'buy 2 for €5'
Ofcourse I could not, not go in there. Therefore I thought I should expand my lipstick collection.

I have bought myself 4 Catrice lipsticks. Two from the Ultimate Shine, Gel Colours and two from the Ultimate Colour range.
And I might have to buy more, because I'm really liking the lipstick part.
For now I'll just show you these four.

Ultimate Beauty Oil

It's been a while but here I'm back.
Today I have something I wanted to talk to you guys about for quite some time. I have been using this product for a while but I could not make up my mind about it.
Was it a dislike or a like or something in between?

But I thought lets give you my full opinion about it.
I'm talking about the Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil. (I will be doing another post on something by Garnier as well later this week)
For now, lets just jump right into it.

Color Shows

As Maybelline is one of my most favourite brands, it really sucks that they are rather on the more expensive side.

I have a weakness for Maybelline mascaras but ever since Maybelline launched their Color Show range I've been even purchasing more!
I also like the Color Show nail varnishes but now I am gonna talk about their eyeliners.

Make Up Matter!

A lot of people say that you have to change foundations. Never really agreed on that until I wanted to see if it's really better or not. I've come to a conclusion!

Powder time!

As Catrice and Essence changed a few bits and pieces in their collection, I made my wishlist.
So yesterday I went shopping with my friend and my wishlist is now a bit shorter. (There will come some more reviews about my shopping trip.)

This review is not going to be on something new. It's on something that I've been wanting for a really long time but never purchased just because I'm to stingy.

I always prefered to have black/grey eyeshadows but once I got more into make up I realised that naturals are a must have in your collection. I kept on saying to myself 'You don't need this, you do not have to have it'. Ofcourse that plan failed!

Does it stays no matter what?

As Essence has brought us make up lovers some new products we do need to try out all those new babies. :p So let's talk some eyeliner now, should be fun!

Pure Shine on my lips

As you all may know Catrice and Essence launched a whole new range of products. And aswell discontinued some of their products.

As I am always interested in new stuff I passed by their stands. And the new once are worth looking at! So let's just jump right into it!

Cover it up with 2true

My last London review will be a concealer from 2true. I have a few different concealers I'm testing so this one I kept for a few weeks to finally try out!

Finding Foundation

Recently, you may know, Catrice and Essence changed their assortment. My go to foundation, the Clear and Matt Make Up (oil-free) by Essence, has been discontinued, unfortunately.

So there for I needed to find another foundation. Search was heard because I wanted to find something familiar to my old one.

As I once used to love the Matt Mouse Make Up by Catrice I decided to try a foundation by Catrice once more.

Big Eyes Catcher

I still have one more London Review to come. But I'm still testing that little product, so I can inform you guys good enough!

For now, I have another mascara review. It's kind of getting to the point where I have a lot of mascara's to chose from and can't pick one! But this one is worth to talk about in a blogpost!

Mascara madness

Another London review!
I am always looking for great mascara's and the search is never done! As I once said before Maybelline, for me, has the best mascara's I ever used (their Volume Express line has amazing ones).
But I still like to discover new things and try other brand.

Whilst I was in London Superdrug was THE shop on top of my to-do list! I really like the drugstore because there is such a huge range of different brand, which I do not have in Belgium.

I especially wanted to try Collection make up.

Rimmel hysteria

As second of my London purchases I will tell you something about the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.

I know a lot of people who are addicted to this powder. And so I had to try it.

Wake Me Up!: The Foundation

This post is gonna be the first of my make up bits I purchased whilst I was in London. It's not much. But those were things I had my eye on for a long time!

London Trip!!

I know.. I should be uploading more blogposts. But last week I went on holiday. Together with my parents, 2 sisters and little brother.
I went to London! And I can tell already, I will go back there. I just don't know when. Lets hope it will be soon! :)


I'm not gonna talk you through every single day. I'm gonna briefly say what we've done.

One by One you say?

Me, a big mascara fan. Needs to try all new mascaras on the market.
But I kinda fail in fact. I stick to my beloved Maybelline mascaras and use them literally every single day.

My newest mascara (even though it's not new) is Maybelline's One by One mascara.
Over here you pay 15 euros for it and it's rather expensive. I waited until I could have a great deal for it. So now I do have the mascara and got it on discount.. Lucky me!

Let's do blush

Haven't talked about blush yet. But now that is gonna change.

Rock Werchter

I said I would write something, ...
This normally should be written in 2days. But I came home early!
I planned on going to Rock Werchter, BE. It's a festival where everybody can hear things you like. Rock, Metal, Pop, .. And so on.
It's been 5days I'm home now from Graspop, but normally I would go Werchter only 2days after my Graspop experience. And stay there for 4days to work. But I knew I wouldn't be able to work from 8 A.M. until 2-3 A.M. This is seriously impossible!
I now give you the advice to at least rest for a week, and then go to another festival, don't go in the same week, or even 2days after.

Graspop Metal Meeting

It's been a while.. But now I'm back and I'm hoping to blog today and tomorrow. We'll see.

The reason I was gone was because I went to Graspop Metal Meeting.
It's a three day metal festival in Dessel, BE.
IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!! I've seen great bands and met new cool people, which I spent those 4 days with (I went one day in advance so we'd have a good camping spot).

Let's talk powder!

I quit often have periods I'm into a specific thing. One time I'm into mascara's, sometimes I'm into blushes. Recently I was into powders.

I purchased three powders and still looking for good ones.

Express Dry Spray

As you may already know, I polish my nails often.
As you may aswell know, nailpolish needs quit some time to completely set.
Well I found the product that helps you!

Skin Care

It's been a while, I know. I've been so busy lately, planning my music festivals(which you will hear more about in july) and schoolcrap! But I'm back with a review on a skin care product by Essence My Skin.

The Rocket

My favorite brand ever is, no doubt Maybelline. I've never been let down by any product I purchased.

My latest pruchase was the mascara The Rocket in waterproof.
At first I didn't really liked the mascara but after a few uses I changed my mind. So let me tell you why.

Hair care

My hair is quite damaged by the straightening I do.
I really needed to find a good hair mask, conditioner and shampoo. But I never really succeed. Until a few months ago.

Nail protector

I love to polish my nails. And since 6 years it's only been black. I'm hooked to black nailpolish. (Note: I'm using the black Maybelline from the forever strong line)
Because black is such a heavy colour to wear it's very likely that your nails will turn yellow. Thankfully I don't have an issue like that. But I noticed that my nails break extremely fast and don't grow very nice. So I've been looking for a good base coat or protector. Basecoat never worked for me so the protector was nessecary to find, and work as base and protector. And I think I might found what I need!

Directions

In my first blog I said I was very interested in music and make up.
But as you may have seen on my profilepic I have pink hair. And I kinda forgot to add to the intro that I have an unhealthy urge to have an unnatural colour of hair.

Love to cover

Because I don't have a complete flawless skin, I sometimes do have imperfections. Yes, but so does everybody. And because sometimes those stupid things pop up, concealer is invented.

Catrice Ultimate Lip Glow

Recently I've been liking Catrice quite a bit.
I can tell I still don't like their nailpolishes! (The formula just doesn't work for me on my nails.) But I want to discover new things and catrice has something I'm totally intrigued about!

Essence 2in1 Volume Mascara

I've never really liked mascaras from brands like Catrice, Essence or 2B.. My favorite brand and also for mascaras is certainly Maybelline! And with the other brands it just didn't work.
But a few days ago I bought the Essence 2in1 volume mascara and I can't tell how much I like it..

Since a few years I've been really into make up.I remember my very first make up item, which was the Maybelline New York Full 'n Soft waterproof mascara I got for my 11th birthday from my lovely sister.. And that's how it all started.
I haven't got the biggist make up collection and I don't buy the high end stuff. I just am quite an addict and I always want more.
I hope to keep you updated on the stuff I buy and want to give you small reviews.


My music addiction will also be a subject, not as big though. I just love going to concerts and festivals. My favorites are not so popular with the bigger part of the population. I like it hard 'n heavy.. Graspop Metal Meeting music..
