Music Madness #1

As my blog name suggest and as I am now admitting: Music is the biggest influence in my life. I decided I want to incorporate it way more on my blog than I am doing now. Which is near to nothing to be honest. But that is about to change.

I want to make a frequently returning blogpost about music. Either musical favourites, reviews, gigs I (not so often) go to or news about upcoming albums. Or all mixed together!

Today I am doing so for the first time. And that with some favourite tunes of the last few weeks.
So let's start with my music madness #1.

To start this series I have got to let you know about my biggest discovery from this month.
The band In This Moment! I was watching a hairdye video on YouTube and I loved the background song (which was Adrenalize Me) immediately.
My favourite song at the moment is Whore, listen to it here. Most of the times the word Whore is bad but this time singer Maria Brink gave a total new meaning to it: Women Honoring One another Rising Eternally.

Besides the new meaning she gave to the word I love the lyrics, the guitars, the drums and her voice is absolutely wicked too!


Second love is Public Service Announcement by Of Mice & Men. Click to listen. I think their new album is absolutely wonderful. It's been replayed ever since it came out.

Restoring Force is a real ear catcher. And I really love it. I believe all song are catchy. For me personally Of Mice & Men did very well on their newest album!
Other lovely song of the album are: You Make Me Sick, Identity Disorder and Break Free.

Third love is something absolutely weird. It is a French song. I dislike French with all my heart (I can speak it but I'm a big failure) But this song is so gorgeous.
I have no clue what the song is about, but my crappy French thinks it is about love.

I've heard to song a lot of times on the radio but never knew who is the artist behind the song.

Turns out it is Dernière Danse from Indila.

It is extremely catchy and I replayed it loads of times.

So this is my Music Madness #1, hopefully I'll be back with more of this in about 4 or 5 weeks.
