A few days ago I also was talking about the fact that I really don't have a lot of different eyeshadows. I always tend to go back to my beloved Sleek palettes.
Last week I went a bit crazy on palettes. Which totally wasn't the plan.
Today I want to share my thoughts on my purchased goodies.
Typing this I realised these palettes I'm showing you are all Essence. I am truly a budget girl!
Today I am going to show you the palettes: Mystery Glam from the Dark Romance LE, the quarto eyeshadow in Most Wanted and a new all about Nude palette.
When this Most Wanted palette came into the stores I liked it instantly. I love the redish/burgundy shade on the bottom right (the picture doesn't do the colours justice.) It is perfect to go for a neutral eye or with add of more burgundy, you can go more heavily.
Unfortunately when you apply these colours and you try and blend them. They all blend together. But not in a good way. The colours as well are a to sparkly to create a really nice put together look. This palette, to me, wasn't that incredible.
This All About Nude palette has been on my wishlist ever since I got the press release for the new products. I didn't buy it though mainly with the thought: I have enough neutral palettes yet.
Well I'm happy I bought it! This is a really good palette! It has three more satin-y like shade, which is wonderful. The other three are with shimmer.
If you have to put your make up on in a rush, I believe this is a good palette to work with.
The colours are really nice and you have much variation. + they stay on very well, but only with an eye base (if you have oily lids)
The last palette, most likely my personal favourite. Dark Romance: Mystery Glam.
When I knew this wouldn't be available in Belgium: DARN IT! I love my drugstore, NOT!
This collection was totally my cup of tea. Especially the eyeshadows and lipsticks.
This palette has a darker blue and red shade in there. A white and taupe shade.
Not actual shimmer colours but satin shades. Even better!
I love to use this palette! Even though the colours are quite out there they are absolutely wearable and don't look to much at all! Total recommendation!
Overall thought: Only the first palette: most wanted, I am not that fond of. The neutral palette is really a go to palette but my ultimate favourite is the Dark Romance palette. The colours are perfect to work with and they are fine for daytime wear. I love it!
Tell me, what is your favourite go to palette?
