Mascara, again a review. I think I like them best as well.
Today it's on a Maybelline one.

And I think I now have every single one of the Volume Express ones in my drawer.
Which I'm really happy about.

I switch my mascara's every week just so I can fall in love again with others I have.
And otherwise I wouldn't use all the ones I have.
Want to know my opinion, then keep on reading.

My sister got me this from Superdrug. For £7,99 only. You've got this mascara as well in a waterproof version, but this wasn't available in Superdrug.

The Maybelline site says about this mascara:
• First gel-mousse mascara with 40% less hard waxes for massive volume with a supple touch

• Extra-soft, patented Flexor Brush caresses lashes

• Lashes never brittle or flaky

The first thing I noticed about this mascara when I opened it was that the wand it a triangle.
Not even close to what the wand looks like when you see commercials or billboards where the wand is supposed to be huge.
Which I was a bit let down by, because I love big brushes.

The mascara is a gel-mousse one. I never heard about gel mousse mascara and I thought this would change, somehow, the application. But it doesn't. Application is actually really good, but I think that's mainly because of the brush.

The brush is able to get to the roots of your lashes and it gives you a really good amount of volume and length. As well because the mascara is a flexor brush it's really helping you to get you to the volume you want to have.

Also because of the flexor brush you have a light application. That is really good for separated and the non clumpy lashes. Layering sometimes causes mascaras to clump, but not with this one. I've layered this mascara up to 3 coats and there were no clumps to be found.

I don't feel the mascara needs to be applied after an eyelash curler use. This mascara is perfect to get you to the volume you want.
And after a couple of hours wear I feel the mascara still has a lot of it's curl.

Actually the brush is the success of this mascara. The light application by the flexor brush is just great.
I feel this mascara is definitely underrated. I'm not able to find a lot of reviews about this mascara compared to e.g. the falsies, which I feel is less good then this one.

If you live in Belgium you will not be able to find this one, or I've never seen it before. But you should get your hands on this. Underrated but so good, that my main conclusion. Worth the trip to your local drugstore!
