MUA: Power Pout Tint & Balm

Chubby sticks, the hype still isn't over. Almost all brands at the drugstore have dupes of the well famous Clinique sticks. It just comes so handy that pop of colour in a twist up tube.

I have tried several different dupes (not the originals) but I really wasn't that impressed.
MUA to has these types of chubby sticks. And I was intrigued because I really like several colours.

Are these better than what I tried before? Keep reading.

The chubby sticks by MUA are called Power Pouts colour intense tint & balm and they have five shades from that line. I got myself two. Broken Hearted and Crazy in Love. They cost £3 or €4,99 in the drugstore.
When I first opened the product (I love the fact that MUA seals their products off) I noticed a very strong scent.
The scent of mint. Darn, I dislike the taste and scent of mint!

Eventually when applied, the scent (especially the taste) isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thankfully, I am not bothered at all. It just leaves you with a fresh feeling on your lips.
The application is very smooth. The product is nicely soft for the lips too.

This colour here is called Broken Hearted and it is a lovely pink shade. But no where near a plain pink.
The colour applies, on me personally, exactly how you can see it in the tube. A very nice summer proof pink shade. And again no plain pink.

This colour, Crazy in Love, is much darker and seems to be plum but it has a gorgeous cherry tone to it. And I love cherry shades.
The colour applies fairly sheer, like a light cherry pink. But you are perfectly able to build it up and create a darker plum shade.

Lastly we come to the time of wearing. After a day (no touch ups) the product is totally sunken into your lips and a tat drying. Also there is almost no colour left.

Other than that, on me, (without the wonder of the translucent lipliner from Rimmel) it doesn't survive a meal but it does survive a few drinks. So they do stay quite a while.

Overall thought: I do like them better than all the others I had before. They last me long enough and they aren't that drying to be happy about them. But to me the pigmentation of these products wins me over.

Tell me, have you ever tried dupes of the chubby sticks? What was your favourite?
