Maybelline: Go Chaotic Mascara

On my trips to Glasgow I went into Superdrug. Ah it was a long time. And I never walked out without not buying anything. Also last time.
I went out with a new mascara by Maybelline to satisfy the mascara addiction. It is one not available in Belgium so I had to pick pick it up.

Chaotic experience or not?

The mascara is fully called the Colassal Go Chaotic Mascara from their very famous Volum' Express line.
Classic Volum' Express packaging. My drawer is now fully filled with them lovely shapes.

The details on the tube want to show you the chaos they meant to give with the mascara. Thick, full and chaotic lashes.
The brush is curved. Which I usually dig about the wands from Maybelline, their weirdness.

This brush supposed to give a double dose of volume and give less clumps. What I think is strange when you want the result to be chaotic?
On the actual test. I personally am a little bit let down by what I get here. This is one coat and I normally with Maybelline I am ready to go. However this one needs a second layer for me. Yet than it starts to clump up.
When the curve is facing down though, it works better in the no clumping department. In terms of volume, I personally like to have a bit more drama.

The website also says this should be waterproof. Well, let me tell you. This thing didn't survive my showerhead test: Not waterproof!
Overall thought: I am let down. Maybelline usually pleases me more. This didn't give me the desired volume, neither the chaos. It works better when the curve is facing down, since it would clump otherwise. Yet what the point of the curve when it isn't working. It is fine for daily use but won't be my new super dramatic favourite.

Do you have a tip on how to make this one work wonders?
