YouTube Cosmetics: Zoella Beauty & Tanya Burr Cosmetics

As you might all have picked up the past months YouTubers really are getting humongous! Two girls on Youtube that I follow myself have been in the picture a lot. They are called Tanya Burr and Zoe Sugg aka Zoella and they both launched their own a beauty/cosmetics range.
I wanted to give their products a try if I could but wasn't to high up on da wishlist. Now having a sister travelling back and forth to a Scottish girlfriend the opportunity was there.

Lets take it. Come and have a closer look.

My sister got both product from their stand at Superdrug. The lipgloss costs £6,99 (now discount: £4,99). The body lotion £5,00. And all of the range can also be found on the feelunique website.

The gloss from Tanya Burr I picked, is called Smile, Dream, Sparkle. Really shimmery. What I didn't expect and doesn't show up to much online.

Opening this product I made a jump 10 years back in time. If you are from Belgium you might know the 1 meter candy rolls from Colruyt. Well they smell EXACTLY like! And I ADORE the scent. Hello Childhood.
Now the actual product, I expected a bit more of. Its fairly boring to be honest. This gloss give more of shiny look to my lips than actual colour. Which I heard these glosses do.

The gloss however isn't sticky and feels really good on the lips. Yet is still is a gloss and needs touch ups after a meal.
The Zoella Beauty body lotion looks cute and has Zoe's writing as logo. Nice touch. When trying the product the scent is also something that I notice first.

Its not strong at all, not sweet (as how I thought it would be), it smells like conditioner or shampoo, but a scent that I really like.
When applying the product, that is a very nice cool creamy substance, you also lose the scent almost immediately. Not that I mind but I like to have a nice left over scent.

It does its job very nicely in moisturizing the skin and sinks in straight away. No sticky business there. Like! What I do think is that its a product that needs to be re-applied every day to keep the skin hydrated enough. Where as I only do that twice a week.
Overall thought: I have heard people praise these products. Yet I think they are fine. Just fine. Not bad, not super insanely good. The lipgloss is nice as any simple gloss. Yet smells amazing. I would wanna give the dark colours a try to see the difference. And the body lotion also smells good. Yet to really be effective it should be applied daily. Which I don't.

Have you given these YT launches a try yet, what do you think?
